Simmons Adopts Local Park

On May 18, 33 Simmons’ employees and family members came out to partake in our Simmons Gives Back program over the weekend. This time, the team headed to Simmons’ newly adopted Westlake Park in Glendale Heights, just a few minutes away from where the business resides. There, they picked up shovels, rakes, and garbage bags and went to work cleaning up the park. By the end of the day, our volunteers were tired and sweaty, but the sight of the now pristine park was incredibly rewarding for all who lent a hand. A few Park District Executives who were there to oversee the cleanup efforts commented that they had never seen such a solid, well connected group that worked so hard for this cause.

After leaving the park, the Simmons crew was invited back to the plant to enjoy a pizza lunch. This is just a small way for us to recognize our amazing volunteers for their support for our community. Simmons always leads by example, and we hope that giving back to our community will inspire others to do the same.
