Resumen del año 2025: El año récord de Simmons

por SIMMONS / 17 de diciembre de 2025 / Publicado en Acerca de Simmons, Noticias

As 2025 draws to a close, I’m proud to say this was a truly record-setting year for Simmons Knife & Saw. In fact, 2025 will go down as the best sales year in our company’s history. What makes this milestone even more meaningful is that it happened despite countless challenges that could have easily slowed us down. Instead, our team stayed focused and delivered exceptional results.

A Year Defined by Resilience

Our team demonstrated extraordinary resilience throughout the year, especially when it came to navigating the rapidly changing tariff landscape. Tariffs in the spring and early summer were particularly volatile, and the speed at which regulations shifted made planning extremely difficult. There are a few lessons I took away from that:

  • Always remain nimble and ready to react.
  • Always have several options at your disposal.
  • Always focus on what you can control.

Growth in New Markets and Product Categories

Despite the unpredictability, 2025 was a strong year for expansion. Simmons continued to grow our customer base and strengthen our presence in new geographies around the world. As a company that serves multiple industries, we’re reminded often that it’s a big world and 95% of the world’s consumers live outside the United States.

On the product side, several new offerings made a meaningful impact this year, including:

  • A more complete blade offering for the seafood processing industry
  • Bagel slicers
  • Skinner blades
  • Packaging knives

The progress we’ve made in the packaging sector in 2025 excites me the most. Our blades for form, fill, and seal machinery, among other packaging machines, represent a massive growth opportunity. We’ve only just begun tapping into what this market can become for Simmons.

A Safety Milestone Worth Celebrating

One of the achievements I’m most proud of in 2025 has nothing to do with sales or profitability. This year, Simmons was recognized as a top 10 company in our workers’ compensation insurance program for the second consecutive year, acknowledging our outstanding safety record.

At the end of the day, sales and profits are great, but none of that matters if our employees are not going home safely to their families every night. This recognition is a testament to our team’s commitment to maintaining a safe, responsible workplace.

Innovation and Efficiency Take Center Stage

In 2025, we continued driving efficiencies across our operations, such as introducing new machinery to improve our production capabilities.

We also began to experience the benefits of AI. We are barely scratching the surface at the moment, but the results so far have been remarkable—and we see enormous potential for AI to enhance our operations in the coming years.

Building a More Sustainable Future

Though it’s hard to top our 2019 installation of 1,300 solar panels, we continued making meaningful sustainability improvements in 2025. A standout achievement was the development of a new machine that extracts oil coolant from swarf. Prior to this machine’s introduction, that material was destined for landfills.

Now, we’re able to capture that oil and reuse it, resulting in both environmental benefits and significant cost savings. It’s a perfect example of our team’s ingenuity and commitment to being responsible stewards of our resources.

Closing Thoughts

I’m incredibly proud of what Simmons accomplished in 2025. Our team’s resilience, innovation, and dedication made this year one of the most significant in our company’s history. We’ve laid a strong foundation, strengthened our position in key markets, and achieved record-breaking performance while staying true to our values.

As we move into 2026, we’re not slowing down. The progress we made this year—across new product categories, emerging geographies, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiencies—has opened the door to even greater opportunities ahead.

Thank you to our employees, customers, partners, and vendors for contributing to this remarkable year. I look forward to sharing how we plan to build on this success in 2026 and continue pushing Simmons toward an even brighter future.

Until next time,

Colin Murphy – President & Owner | Simmons Knife & Saw
